Review Detail
2011 Mollydooker Maitre D Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine Rating
87
To start with the nose has a saturation of olive and dark berries, the oak is dominant on the palate, providing a sweet vanillin character no doubt due to the portion of new American oak used in the wine.
There are some nice dark chocolate characters integrated with blackcurrant on the mid to back palate, with a coffee like astringency on the finish, and the oak slightly cloying.
