Review Detail
2002 Tahbilk Estate Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine Rating
92
Tahbilk are a consistent performer given time in the cellar, with the 2002 Estate Cabernet no different.
The wine itself is a slightly browning red with the nose a leathery expression of blackberry fruits that's given a hint of earth and menthol.
The palate has good depth with primary dark fruits getting some secondary characters and drying tannins framing the wine well. The finish is a little more savoury and austere with firm acid and oak supporting leathery blackberry flavours.
Drinking in it's prime now, but will continue to live for the next 5 - 10
