Review Detail

The 2010 release of the Mentor is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, with the blend in other years made up with a portion of Shiraz and Malbec. The wine is a deep red in colour with a nose of blackberry, leather and olive. The wine has great structure with leathery blackfruits at it's core. The tannins are soft and mouth filling with supporting rather than dominant cedary oak inputs. This wine has a considerable life ahead of it, and is a benchmark Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon.
