Cabernet Sauvignon May 04, 2014
2012 Angus The Bull Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine Rating

91
This wine is framed as a full bodied and consistently fruit laden wine since it’s first release over 10 years ago. The wine is typically a multi regional blend across states, however this year it made from grapes from Central Victorian. It is a wine that not only shows concentrated fruit and abundant tannin, but also good balance and complexity.

The wine is a brooding dark red in colour, the nose is juicy with blackcurrant and boysenberry, the palate shows density of fruit across the journey with dense plum, blackcurrant and briny cherry ably supported by cedary oak. The finish sees the return of vibrant dark berry fruits and fine but firm tannins, the length is good.

This is a short to medium term cellaring prospect and very good value for money.
