2010 Yering Station Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine Rating

94
Cabernet is not the first variety that comes to mind when you think of Yering Station, however the 2010 release is a timely reminder of the enjoyment that Yarra Valley Cabernet can bring.

Dark red, slightly lightly duller towards the rim, the nose has old leather, blackberry and earth alongside top notes of cedar. The palate showcases quality fruit with balanced blackberry and blackcurrant at the fore; grainy cedary tannins give structure on the mid to back palate and integrated oak adds spice to the leathery dark fruited finish.

The tannins make this a great food wine.
