Review Detail
2010 Alpha Crucis Delta Cru Cabernet Sauvignon
(Updated: January 02, 2015)
Wine Rating
95
Alpha Crucis is produced by Chalk Hill, and is a great example of how good Cabernet can be from McLaren Vale.
The nose is a dark red with some youthful purple hues towards the rim, the nose is steeped in blackcurrant, with graphite and liquorice.
The palate gives cigar box, cedar spice and drying blackcurrant giving great mouth feel. Tannins are savoury and are complemented by dark fruits and subtle olive. Impressive length to finish that underwrites a considerable future in the cellar.
