Review Detail
2012 Punt Road Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine Rating
91
I would like to think i'm fairly vocal when it comes to my disappointment around the general popularity of Victorian Cabernet Sauvignon, there are so many great examples coming out of the state, yet it seems stylistically it is not in vogue… it's time will come again.
A deep red in the glass, a nose of liquorice all sorts backed by sweet vanillin oak. The palate is packed with primary blackcurrant and blackberry fruit, elegant tannins give good mouthfeel, with oak providing a touch of richness to finish.
