Review Detail
2005 Clarendon Hills Brookman Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine Rating
87
An exceptionally dark red in the glass, the nose has overt fruit and oak which mutes any varietal character. The wine is laden with sweet liquorice and stewed fruit on the palate, the oak is extracted and when coupled with sweet fruit provides a syrupy finish.
Some people will love this wine, but to my taste it is well and truly over the top and won’t get better with time.
