Review Detail
2011 d’Arenbgerg Coppermine Road Cabernet Sauvignon
(Updated: August 30, 2016)
Wine Rating
92
One of the best examples of Cabernet Sauvignon from South Eastern Australia that i have tasted from the 2011 vintage, a good result from a difficult year.
A varietally true nose of cassis and black fruits that is just starting to show some attractive leather notes. The medium bodied palate has drying, grainy tannin that has ample blackberry and blackcurrant fruit with flashes of french oak giving subtle spice. To finish there is a leather and cigar box note to drying dark fruits.
