2012 Woodlands Thomas Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine Rating

97
This is a wine worthy of it's price tag, at $140 you would expect the wine to be good, and it doesn't disappoint. The nose has presence, complexity and class with depth of cassis, integrated cedar oak and tobacco notes.

The palate is intensely concentrated yet maintains an elegance and lightness of touch. Dark fruits, cedar oak, taut tannins and vibrant acidity all work in concert giving an experience that is textural and profoundly flavourful.

Australian Cabernet doesn't get much better than this.
