Review Detail
2015 Curtis Family Vineyards Cavaliere Cabernet Sauvignon
(Updated: March 30, 2017)
Wine Rating
91
A deep red in the glass, a densely dark fruited nose that combines blackcurrant and plum with attractive oak spice and the faintest touch of leather starting to develop. The palate shows a rich, luxurious wine with velvety oak giving a plush contrast to darker berry fruits. The finish has a touch of tomato leaf to lingering plum and blackberry with a milk chocolate richness from the oak.
It doesn’t scream Cabernet in terms of varietal expression but is a very well made wine.
