Review Detail
2016 Stable Hill The Masked Knight Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine Rating
88
Another of the Stable Hill range that is true to form in terms of the label, evocative and odd are two words that come to mind !
The wine is a youthful dark red to purple in colour with a nose that is a cool climate rendition of the variety with peppery plum and savoury blackberry aromatics. The palate is drying with taut acidity and has a pronounced earthiness, In terms of fruit tightly coiled blackberry and plum show what they can but need some time to come into their own.
Will reward a few years in the bottle.
