Produced from the Dead Morris and Walker Vineyards the wine was fermented in barrel with some parcels having a long post ferment maceration prior to ageing in new French oak barrels from a range of producers for 20 months.

The nose is a ménage of dark berry fruits with subtle vanillin spice and aged leathery notes.

A wine at the peak of its powers with definition of blackberry fruit, but a seamless integration of earth and leather. dark berry fruits that is peppered with French oak spice and understated bay leaf . There is a flowing backbone of acidity that holds tension between primary fruit and aged characteristics

Touches of choc peppermint to finish with blackberry and old leather.

Could go a few more years but is in a great place right now.
