A throwback to the old Penley Estate labels which are not without their charm, but not quite as striking as the bold new ones !
The palate opens with tightly bound blackcurrant and blackberry. Tannins are firm and earthen with the mid palate enjoying a lift from cedar oak and dark cocoa. The finish wraps black fruits with undergrowth, gentle oak spice and graphite. Will be showing it’s best after another year in bottle.
