Review Detail
2015 Windowrie Family Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine Rating
91
The reserve release from Windowrie in Cowra, it’s a well made wine with a nose of crushed herbs, earth, blackberry and pepper with a faint touch of tobacco.
A full bodied Cabernet that is generous but well structured, rich black fruits work within a web of fine but structured tannins that enjoy the sweetness and spice that comes from time in French Oak, there is a decadence of dark chocolate that fills out the mid palate before the finish enjoys a return of bay leaf and sage like impact.
