1996 Fox Creek Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine Rating

87
Browning red in the glass , the nose shows secondary characteristics of stewed red fruits , cedar and a hint of menthol. The front and mid palate are a little one dimensional with ripe plum and heavy handed oak. The back palate shows an exceptional tannin structure that has a drying but pleasant mouth feel. A wine that is well and truly into it's middle to older age, just holding , but declining rapidly and not for everyone's palate
