Review Detail
2017 Warramunda Estate Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine Rating
95
Cabernet Sauvignon is the pride of Warramunda Estate, the 2017 is true to the year and is about as tightly coiled as they come but showing all the characteristics that will see it grow into something spectacular in the decades ahead.
A glossy but deep red in colour with a nose that has blackberry and graphite and a mere suggestion of spiced oak. The palate has a backdrop of fine tannin that takes in a dark cocoa disposition and positively soak up the dark berry fruits. The mid palate flows with blackcurrant and blackberry before a wisp of sweeter spice gives way to a long and deeply dark fruited finish, the length is excellent.
