Review Detail
2017 Blue Pyrenees Estate Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine Rating
92
A nose of plum, blackberry with a tar and roses like aspect from a cooler year. The palate has a glossy, supple tannin structure that melds with spiced oak and gives a generous backdrop to medium bodied black fruits. What is most enjoyable is the dark cocoa and bitter dark cherry influence towards the finish that provides a textural counterpoint to the silky palate and will underwrite future development. Can be found at under $20 at retail, quite a bargain.
