Review Detail
2018 Aylesbury Estate The Pater Series Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine Rating
93
A nose of mocha, textured blackberry fruit and cedar oak that is already starting to take on some tobacco tones. The palate shows a medium to full bodied wine with a layered core of black fruits that are supported by dusty tannins and enough acidity to drive focus and underwrite long term cellaring. There is a graphite like chalkiness on the mid palate with a coffee and bitter dark chocolate influence to mulberry and blackberry fruit. The finish is long and drying.
