Review Detail
2016 Huntington Estate Block 3 Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine Rating
95
A dense ,deep red in colour with a nose that has concentration of blackberry and blackcurrant with earthen and sweeter spice overtones that is characteristic of the Huntington Estate style.
The palate shows a wine of balance with drying black fruits enjoying a long and drying web of tannin that is lifted by new French oak that continues the drying thread but gives richness whilst adding a bitter dark chocolate influence. The finish has an aspect of unsweetened liquorice and a melange of fruit and oak influence. As always a producer that more people should know about.
