Cabernet Sauvignon July 23, 2011
2006 Eleven Paddocks Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine Rating

91
Deep red that moves to a lighter red around the rim, the nose has currant, blackberry and an earthy / developed eucalypt character.

The wine is medium to full bodied with a tannin structure that builds slowly over the palate, providing an excellent framework from which juicy blackcurrant and mild cassis flavours come to the fore.

There is nice oak integration on the mid to back palate that adds a richer dimension and hint of spice, the tannins reach a crescendo on the finish and persist with dark berry fruit.

The wine is reaching full maturity and best consumed over the next couple of years.
