The nose is packed full of dark plum fruit that is set amongst a backdrop of cedary oak.
The wine has very good structure that is initially fruit driven and steeped in blackberry, as the wines moves across the palate it gains a dusty/earthy character giving another dimension and contrast to the dark berry fruits.
The finish has firm mouth filling tannins and lingers with blackberry and dark chocolate.

A tried a bottle and it's a solid wine, but after the very good 2008 I wasn't impressed enough to go back for more of the 09. I will wait for the 2010 I think.
