Review Detail
2005 Yalumba The Menzies Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine Rating
96
The nose exudes class from the outset with dark cocoa , quality oak and savoury plum.
The palate has wonderful complexity and integration with pure blackberry and plum accentuated and enhanced by spicy vanillin oak. The finish is fruit driven with concentrated dark berries and subtle oak the highlight.
This is an exceptionally well made wine that may not have a text book Coonawarra flavour profile, but is undeniably delicious.
