Review Detail
2004 Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin Vintage Brut
Wine Rating
95
A golden yellow in colour, this Pinot dominant Champagne is in a fantastic place right now with a complex nose of brioche, almond-meal with nectarine and hints of citrus.
The palate is layered and supported by a fine bead, rich lees characters, taught acidity and mineral citrus characters play off each other.
The finish has excellent length and is a reminder of how good vintage champagne is.
