Review Detail
NV Champagne Monsigny Rose
Wine Rating
93
I have heard a lot about this wine over the last couple of years, it is a wine imported, selected or produced (pick whichever word you would like) for Aldi in Australia. The wine itself represents exceptional value at $30 and would do itself proud in a lineup of wines costing 2 - 3 times this asking price.
A light salmon to burnt orange in colour, the nose is delicate and sweet fruited with strawberry, raspberry and a touch of citrus.
On the palate there is good balance with a strawberries and cream complexity, the bead is delicate and there is more than enough mineral acidity to keep the wine fresh and focussed. The wine finishes with a flash of citrus and length of strawberry and red cherry.
A bargain at the price.
