2006 Domaine Bertagna Voguent Les Cras Premier Cru

Domaine Bertagna once belonged to the Cistercian monks, famous for founding the Clos de Vougeot in the 13th century.

The wine balances distinct creamy characters against a mineral, textural and firm backbone.

The nose has candied fruits, nougat and and a touch of lemon peel. The palate is generous on entry with stone fruits and spicy vanillin oak; textural tannins and lees influences give depth, with just enough mineral acidity to keep balance. The wine finishes with roasted hazelnuts and touch of wood spice.
