Light yellow in colour, the nose has complex barrel ferment and malo characters with nectarine and grapefruit the highlight.
The palate is dense and mouth filling with peach and melon that combines with richer vanillin oak and buttery lees characters in the background. The acid structure keeps the wine centered with a grapefruit like astringency adding texture on the finish.
Another very good example of how good, and consistent a performer Chardonnay is in the Bellarine Peninsula region.
