2012 Coldstream Hills Chardonnay

This is the entry level wine to what is an excellent line up of 2012 Chardonnay’s from a winery that over time has showed it’s consistency in producing world class Chardonnay.

A lightly golden yellow in colour, the nose is rich with stone fruits, brioche and some enjoyable flinty characters. As with all the 2012’s there is good texture on the palate, balanced nectarine and peach gain wood spice complexity and a roundness from integrated oak. The wine finishes with grippy grapefruit that gives focus and another textural counterpoint.
