2012 Picardy Chardonnay

A lightly golden yellow in the glass, the nose gives creamy white peach and nougat with a touch of flint.

As is the case with any very good Chardonnay, the wine presents itself in layers that unfold to provide a complete and considered wine.

Plush vanillin oak wraps itself around white peach that gives way to a textural grip, oak induced spice and grapefruit acidity that cuts through the wines richer components.

There is almost a smoked almond character to finish alongside precise stone fruits on the long finish.
