This was my first opportunity to taste a wine produced from this iconic Adelaide Hills vineyard, it lived up to the hype.
A youthful light yellow in the glass with a fleck of green in the light. The nose contrasts richer lees influences and wood spice with pristine nectarine and grapefruit aromas.
The palate is a richer expression of site when compared with the 13 Piccadilly Valley, this creates an exciting interplay between the wines piercing citrus acidity and richer components. Great length to finish with cashew and wood spice supporting the fruit.
