2013 Toolangi Yarra Valley Chardonnay
Wine Rating

The 2013 Yarra Valley release is another great value wine from Toolangi. The wine was made at Yering Station and Oakridge using fruit sourced from the Dixon Creek Estate vineyard. The wine saw 11 months in French oak, and is batting well above it’s price range.

A flinty nose, with subtle vanillin oak influences alongside peach skins and nectarine fruit. The palate has depth with a fullness of white peach and nectarine being reigned in by chalky acidity and wood induced spice. There is a flinty, sulphide grip on the finish that sets this wine apart, providing length and texture that is comparable to flagship wines of other Yarra Valley producers.

At an RRP of $26, this has to be one of the best value 2013 Chardonnay’s i have tried.
