2013 Xanadu Reserve Chardonnay

The range of Chardonnay's at Xanadu are amongst the best in Margaret River, with the Reserve the pinnacle of the lineup. It’s a difficult task to find a more fruit driven and textured Chardonnay that still holds such structure and elegance.

The nose has presence in the glass with worked lees and flinty notes working beautifully with floral white peach. The palate is an exercise in contrast, expansive peach and underlying wood spice give fullness and complexity but at the same time are lifted by a mineral and taut line of acidity, a complete and compelling chardonnay that will be a star over the next decade.
