2014 Leeuwin Estate Prelude Vineyard Chardonnay

The Prelude Chardonnay is produced fin a style that is more approachable in it’s youth, however this is anything but a drink now proposition. The wine is a restrained but textural expression of Margaret River Chardonnay that will blossom in years to come.

The nose gives nectarine and citrus with a hint of almond meal richness. The palate is still primary with citrus and stone fruits that are just starting to show a thread of nutty lees characters. This wine is drinking well now but with an additional 6 - 12 months in bottle will go to another level.
