2015 Botanica Estate Tullus Chardonnay

Botanica Estate is a new comer to Macedon Ranges, with their inaugural releases set to impress. There are two vineyard blocks on the property, the Tullus Block which was planted in 2004, and the Wagyu Hill that was planted in 2014.

A light yellow the nose flows with pristine stone fruits, flashes of nougat, fig and wood smoke.

An elegant, yet impactful palate that grows in complexity and concentration. There is a weave of citrus acidity to white peach and almond meal with a fullness of texture on the mid palate. The finish enjoys the trappings of time in oak and on lees with a touch of flint to worked stone fruits.
