The Bellarine is a hidden secret when it comes to Chardonnay, it’s a region that consistently turns out wines of concentration and complexity that respond well to a considered winemaking hand. The 2016 shows unripe fig and nectarine fruits on the nose that is mixed with lovely oak derived spice. The palate is built around white peach with top notes of flint and honey. There is a lees derived richness on the mid palate and moreish oak works amongst an understated saline like grip to finish.
