2017 Byron & Harold Partners Chardonnay

A wine that has only been made in small quantities with an uncompromising approach to quality. Produced from Great Southern fruit which is slightly more generous when compared to Margaret River, the wine is an exercise in balance with fruit and oak pushed to the limit but kept in check by a lovely line of acidity. The nose begins with fig and white peach and is lifted by flinty cashew notes. There is a layered plushness to the wine that showcases quality vanillin oak and creaminess of beautifully focused white peach; there is a decadence of creamy cashew that’s cut through by lemony acidity to finish. A compelling wine that will continue to evolve over the medium term.
