This is the second single vineyard chardonnay from the Henk Vineyard in Woori Yallock. It takes on the characteristic Oakridge style with a lees induced edge that is masterfully carried by some beautiful fruit.
The nose strikes a balance between worked sulphide notes of matchstick and new season peach and nectarine; the palate has a punchy mineral character that is given dimension by worked mealy notes and countered by taut citrus drive. Well defined stone fruits are accentuated by flint and spice on the expansive finish.
Give this a few years and watch it shine.
