2019 Levantine Hill Katherine’s Paddock Chardonnay
Wine Rating
96
The wine was barrel fermented in a high proportion of new and second fill French Oak with 9 months in barrel before bottling and extended ageing in bottle prior to release.
The nose has wonderful complexity that showcases a mealy richness from time in barrel, with a gentle creaminess and flint aspect to white peach and fig.
The wine has a textural baseline of acidty that balances the rich, generous stone fruits. Oak adds both spice and a savouriness to the wine and above all elegance. Wonderful length to finish.
