2022 Sidewood Mappinga Chardonnay

The nose gives a great expression of Adelaide Hill Chardonnay with white peach and grapefruit supported by almond meal and background vanillin tones. There is great tension to the palate with tautness of citrus holding new season fig and nectarine in balance, whilst giving the perfect base for flinty, almond laced oak influences to have impact. The finish sees a touch more citrus than the palate which is afforded by the wines low alcohol and gives a Chablisesque feel to the wine with a long future ahead.
