Review Detail
2005 Dalwhinnie Estate Chardonnay
Wine Rating
88
Golden yellow in colour, the nose is full and ripe with peach, melon and honeyed oak inputs.
The palate is big and broad with stone fruits combining with butterscotch oak and a slightly bitter grapefruit like astringency. The acid is starting to become out of balance with the rich creamy palate on the finish, with the best years behind this wine.
