Review Detail
2009 Nicholson River Montview Chardonnay
Wine Rating
94
It is clear that Ken Eckersley has a gift for creating exceptional Chardonnay that show a consistent golden yellow in colour and abundance of character and complexity.
The 2009 Montview is no different with a golden yellow hue, and array of aromas on the nose ranging from gunflint and butterscotch to melon and fig.
The palate has wonderful balance between racy acidity and ripe mouth filling melon fruits, there is cashew and vanillin oak that is contrasted by firm acid on the long finish.
