Review Detail
2009 Geoff Merrill Wickham Road Chardonnay
Wine Rating
89
Straw to golden yellow in colour, the nose has nectarine that is backed by citrus and fig.
The palate is grippy and textured with barrel ferment spice alongside peach and nectarine fruit. The wine is firm on the finish with depth of fig and a slight creamy twist from the oak.
This is a wine that will certainly reward a couple of years in the cellar.
