Review Detail
2002 Scotchmans Hill Sutton Vineyard Chardonnay
Wine Rating
91
A golden yellow in colour, this wine is in the twilight of its life with grapefruit, ripe peach and a touch of creamy oak on the nose.
The palate is rich and layered with white peach and melon, but has just enough acidity to give texture and contrast.
The wine finishes with caramelised fig, and excellent length. The 02 is best consumed now, but a lovely example of aged Australian Chardonnay
