Chardonnay October 13, 2013
2009 Pipers Brook Estate Chardonnay
Wine Rating

91
Pipers Brook Chardonnays have an aptitude to age with a number of 20+ year old examples still alive and kicking, with the 2009 release showing the structure to to cellar.

The wine is a very light yellow and has a little bit of butterscotch richness and savoury peach skins.

The wine is soft on entry after which grapefruit and citrus fruits take over with lemon pitch and understated stone fruits providing excellent length on the finish.

A wine that will unfurl itself over time.
