2012 Seville Estate Reserve Chardonnay
Wine Rating

96
This was a wine I couldn't wait to try given my continual enjoyment of the 2010 Estate Chardonnay which for mine is great value for money.

The 2012 is a step up from both a price and quality perspective with care taken in fruit selection and winemaking more than evident.

Layered complex and textual all come to mind when tasting this wine, there is restrained stone fruits and lemon pith against a backbone of natural sherbet acidity that gets rounded and tempered by just enough complex lees characters and wood spice to add interest now and underwrite considerable development in the bottle. A classic.
