Chardonnay January 31, 2014
2008 Moorooduc Estate McIntyre Chardonnay
Wine Rating

95
The McIntyre release comes from the best parcel's of fruit from the McIntrye vineyard, the wine is typically made in very small volumes and in a style that is elegant yet built for cellaring.

The 2008 release is an excellent wine that is just starting to develop some richer nougat characters on the nose to go with stone fruits and unripe melon. The palate is spicy and layered with balance struck between winemaker derived spice, richness and an underlying purity of fruit and acid. The finish is dense and savoury with the textural interplay across the palate culminating in a long spiced stone fruit finish.
