I have tasted a number of Chardonnay's from Moorooduc recently that span close to a decade, with style, varietal expression and cellaring potential evident across the board. The 2005 has a complex nose that shows peach skins and nectarine fruit that is amplified by brioche characters.

The palate gives a textural and layered experience with stone fruits at it's core. Delicate spices and vanillin oak provide contrast and depth, with a lovely line of acid framing the experience.

A great wine that is at it's peak, but will certainly hold
