Review Detail
2013 Helen’s Hill ‘Breachley Block' Chardonnay
Wine Rating
93
This wine was an interesting contrast to the 13’ Ingram Road, with the Estate wine showing much more winemaker induced characters and complexity. The nose gives sweet vanillin oak with nougat and spiced undertones to aromatic stone fruits.
The palate is packed with white peach and nectarine, charry oak gives character on the mid palate with a well integrated finish that combines wood spice, dense stone fruits and mineral acidity.
This wine will continue to improve over the short to medium term.
