Review Detail

2012 Oakridge Local Vineyard Series Guerin Vineyard Chardonnay
Wine Rating

94
The nose gives delicate floral aromatics and stone fruits, gaining complexity from match stick and wood spice notes.

The wine is medium bodied with ample lemon pith and grapefruit acidity that plays well with the fuller stone fruits. Oak is very much secondary on the palate, but over time will continue to make it’s subtle presence shown. In it’s youth this is a considered and elegant example of Yarra Valley Chardonnay that will gain complexity and power with time in the cellar.
