Review Detail
2002 Domaine Daniel-Etienne Defaix Chablis Grand Cru Blanchot
Wine Rating
94
A mature golden yellow in colour, a nose of marzipan, butterscotch and honeyed lime and nectarine.
Texturally this wine is flawless, the line of crystalline acidity gives freshness across the palate and informs the wines length. There is a touch of gun flint on the palate alongside grapefruit and lime with a savoury, oyster shell like complexity. An excellent example of aged Chablis.
